Cricut Expression

My Expression arrived in the mail today-I think I was out the door before the UPS man had even parked his truck, lol. I didnt really get to play with it today, but I got it all set up on my desk (see pic) to be ready for tomorrow! Im going to scrap with Beka in SWF-go QPMU!

Now I just have to spend sometime researching the easiest way to use it.

Once again, a big thank you to Nikki for the link, and to Danielle for the awesome prize!

My latest scrappy project. I altered this can to put change in. The little 'bags' on it have sayings about shopping on them. It was a fun relatively quick project.

Gable Box

Today I was floating around on SCS and found these cute gable boxes to try. I cant believe how fast they were to complete. I learned two things-I need to be less heavy handed with the scoring blade, and READ the directions...lol

I found the directions here

Today I was chatting with Alayna while trying to figure out something to inspire me to work on an actual LO. She 'challenged' me to work on a BOM page and I thought "why not?", and went hunting for pictures. I came up with pictures from my graduation from nursing school. I really need to look at these pictures because I need to remember what Im working towards...and counting down the days until May.

The first picture/page is probably my favorite picture ever of me with my parents. I cant remember how the photographer got us to laugh-but it looks good anyway.

Here is my second try at a 2pg LO. Im happier with this second try I think. In the first picture my mom has a 'real' laugh on her face so I had to scrap it. Its not too often that we get a shot like that.

If you cant tell-Im trying very hard to work on keeping my pages 'simple' cause I get SO unbelievably frustrated otherwise. I have way too much stuff and it takes me forever to get a page layed out, I go back and forth with how I want things to look-and just never get done. So my goal for now is SIMPLE-these help too cause they are only 8x8s so less space to stress about.

Now Im off to clean up my mess

A Few More Cards...

I scrapped again today!

I tried to keep things simple cause I tend to get frustrated working on things cause it takes me so long to get a finished product.

Chloe's card

Congrat's card

My 'card' box...finally altered, though Ive had it for ages

My clean scrap table...I even cleaned up when I was done! Amazing!

A Bit of Scrappin

I put up a few shelves in my scrap room today. I decided to quit thinking it to death and just put them up. Once I go them up I got the urge to hang stuff from the knobs. I quickly hung a few RAK/swap items I have had for a while that are some of my favorites so I can look at them more often. Oh...the little heart on the ribbon is just left overs that were sitting here from my cards so I thought I would use them.

Here is the first card of the day...inspired by a picture in "Simply Homemade" It's going to be the V-day card for The Morlan's.

This card was inspired by one of the sketches Beth posted in SWF. It was actually a circle LO sketch, but Im not in the mood to do LOs so this is my interpretation.

Scraps Scrappin'

Today SWF had a Countdown Party. I was trying to put together a How To on this adorable cupcake I found in a Scrapbooks Etc magazine, but I didnt have the craft foam I need so I was unable to. I ended up play around with the paper I had been folding to be the bottom of the cupcake and ended up making the 'flower' like embellishment. I think it will make a nice embellishment on a scrap page with a lot of white space.

A little bit later I ended up making a book mark with even more of the scraps I had leftover. I gave myself double points for the bookmark for a few reasons, one I refused to allow myself to get up until I finished it, so I had to use exactly what I had on the table already, which wasnt much, and two because I used my word of the year "balance" on it.

I really didnt scrap much, but its more than I have scrapped so far this year so Im not beating myself up over it.

"Balance"

Today I finally got my word for the year "balance" altered. Now I just have to figure out where Im going to put it. For right now its sitting on top of the heater (which isnt a bad place since I dont run it and its directly across from where I sit). Although it took me a while to get them done, they are pretty simple and I like them that way :).

Oh I guess they arent completely done. I want to distress the two As, I just cant find my file right now....I REALLY need to finish moving in!

*In the B is a chipboard tag that says "2009" to finish it off.
